Manager, Development Operations

Department: Development
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Work Schedule: 4 day work wk, extensive travel required
Salary Range: $40, 379.04 – $52,434.72 yr.

JOB DUTIES/QUALIFICATIONS

JOB OBJECTIVES: (Purpose of the position)

  • Define and develop applicable campaigns and the resources required to address, implement, and manage and effective overall development operation, including donor direct response campaigns and other projects in support of quality donor cultivation and to meet organizational net income growth objectives. Manage the day-to-day operations of the development department.

JOB PREREQUISITES: (Minimum qualifications needed to perform essential functions)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university. A minimum of 5-7 years experience with a growth-oriented track record in development, direct response or a multi-media campaign environment. Experience should include overall campaign planning and implementation, management, and evaluation, as well as staff management. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in non-profit fundraising, e-philanthropy and donor communications required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: (Functions essential to attaining job objectives)

  1. Identify new and grow existing segments.
  2. Manage the day-to-day development operations to ensure direct response and personal cultivation is coordinated.
  3. Create and implement an e-philanthropy strategic and annual plan.
  4. Manage staff and volunteer resources in support of goals.
  5. Manage multi-million dollar budget for all development initiatives.
  6. Enact best in class donor communication relations under organization’s brand marketing and creative strategies.
  7. Communicate effectively with multiple internal and external resources in support of objectives.
  8. Regular attendance.
  9. Comply with Unity policies and rules.
  10. Other functions as assigned.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Must be physically able to move about and access all various buildings and departments on the Unity Village grounds.
  • Must be able to work at a desk or workstation for extended periods of time.

EQUIPMENT:

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
