Job Prerequisites:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from a college or university in business administration, human resource management, or related academic field. Ten years of directly related experience in compensation research, analysis, design, and administration. Advanced level knowledge of employee compensation and benefit laws and regulations. Designation as a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), or completion of coursework offered by WorldatWork, an international association of total rewards professionals, preferred. Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex financial data and systems in an understandable manner to all levels of management and staff. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects successfully in a fast-paced and changing environment. Ability to work with extremely detailed financial information in a timely manner with very high levels of accuracy. Ability to draw sound conclusions and make appropriate judgments based on data from disparate sources. Intermediate knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Windows and Office applications and automated HRIS systems. Current management experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: (Functions essential to attaining job objectives)
- Regular attendance.
- Comply with Unity policies and rules.
- Participate in the development and administration of compensation programs, policies and procedures that contribute to Unity’s ability to attract, retain and motivate qualified personnel.
- Studies and analyzes nonexempt, exempt, and executive level positions and jobs, and prepares job descriptions based on job questionnaires and/or personal interviews. Evaluates jobs using internal and external benchmarks, determines grade levels, makes salary recommendations, and prepares documentation to validate determinations.
- Provide guidance to H.R. team and management groups on compensation-related matters (hire in rates, promotion, equity adjustments, etc.) in order to ensure equitable and consistent salary practices.
- Conducts and participates in compensation surveys conducted by other companies and third- party data providers. Analyzes survey information to determine if Unity’s compensation rates are competitive. Develops and implements new approaches to compensation management and job structures that address Unity’s needs.
- Monitors compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and other government laws and regulations pertaining to employee compensation.
- Designs, implements, and administers Unity’s merit pay bonus program and variable pay programs.
- Analyze data to determine and recommend pay structure and salary increase movements.
- Develops and maintains compensation compliance and management reports. Works in collaboration with HR Assistant – Records and Accounting personnel in relation to the HR Information System to implement automated support for position control and compensation programs.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of H.R. Assistant – Records.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Position is mostly sedentary, with occasional standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, or kneeling. May be required to lift up to 10 pounds on an infrequent basis. Will also be required to use fingers, hands, and arms for keyboarding. Both close and distance vision are necessary.
