Spanish Customer Service Representative

Department: Spanish Services
Status: Full-Time; Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: 7:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday – Thursday
Minimum Starting Salary: $12.24 – 15.90 hr

JOB DUTIES/QUALIFICATIONS

JOB PROFILE: (Brief summary of responsibilities and requirements)

  • Provide prompt customer service in Spanish.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with on line computer use and telephone skills required.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak in both Spanish and English languages.
  • Strong belief in prayer is required.
  • Skills testing: Spanish/English and Spanish Basic Office Skills (no math).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE: (Functions essential to job)

  1. Provide accurate information and prompt service to the caller while on the telephone in a clear and courteous manner.
  2. Responsible for checking the incoming Customer Service E-mail box of Spanish services and create responses to messages.
  3. Respond to requests and inquiries using written procedures for Customer Service.
  4. Enter appropriate response data into the computer using correct Spanish and spelling.
  5. Make appropriate adjustments and corrections on records.
  6. Monitor Unity Spanish Online Store.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • No physical requirements. Ability to hear, read and comprehend detailed instructions during extensive training period. Must be able to sit 80% of time entering data into the computer, retrieving data from computer and answering business telephone calls. Must be able to move documents between locations within department not to exceed 10 pounds. Must be able to comprehend requests and inquiries received during telephone, correspondence and E-mail. Must be able to speak clearly in Spanish and English for telephone communication. Must be able to respond appropriately to emails in Spanish and English.
