DUTIES/QUALIFICATIONS

JOB PROFILE: (Brief summary of responsibilities and requirements)

Lead, motivate and supervise the work of all TPM Associates and Senior Associates assigned to the supervisor’s prayer team, as well as other supervisors’ teams in their absence. Ensure that all of the prayer team’s day-to-day operational goals are met. Serve the TPM Associates and guide them to perform to their maximum potential. Ensure consistent and equal implementation of all policies and procedures of Unity and the Telephone Prayer Ministry. Lead by example in creating and maintaining a teamwork environment consistent with the Unity Management Principles.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE: (Functions essential to job)
- Interview, hire, train, coach, schedule, and discipline employees assigned to supervisor’s team as well as those assigned to other supervisors’ teams in their absence. Conduct annual and ongoing performance evaluations and document performance. Make recommendations for termination when appropriate.
- Maintain attendance records.
- Conduct regular team meetings and encourage a team-oriented work environment.
- Pray with TPM Associates as requested. Lead pray-in of TPM Associates coming on duty when available.
- Assist in serving callers who may have had a negative experience when calling the TPM.
- Assist manager in identifying improvements of methods, systems and procedures within the ministry.
- Maintain and build constructive relationships with employees and management. Practice active listening and facilitates open lines of communication with department and Unity as a whole. Work closely within TPM administration and Correspondence Services to complete duties as required.
- Other functions as assigned.

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Maintain Prayer Vigil and prayer lines as needed.
- Attend management skill classes offered by Human Resources and others within Unity as required.
- Maintain current basic understanding of other departments’ activities and responsibilities.
- Maintain confidentiality of all work.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
-
Minimum of two years experience in a position with responsibility for managing other people and functions. Minimum of one year experience working on the TPM phone lines or a strong Unity background and willingness to attend TPM training class. Proven ability to plan, organize, and implement policies and procedures. Belief in and commitment to affirmative prayer demonstrated by a strong Unity background and understanding of the spiritual principles taught by Unity. Completion of a minimum of two SEE classes. Experience demonstrating excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills in alignment with the Unity Management Principles and the spiritual principles taught by Unity. Experience with spreadsheet and database software required. At least two years of college preferred. Senior Associate experience preferred.
