What time do they start? What time do they end? All retreats start with welcome and check-in between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Check-in for all guests takes place at the Unity Village Hotel and Conference Center. During this time, we offer tours of Unity Village on our Jolly Wagon for those who would like to ride along and become acquainted with the beautiful grounds. There will also be refreshments available for our guests―beverages, fruit, and sandwiches.
We will meet as a group at 5 p.m. to begin our retreat experience, followed by dinner at 5:30 p.m.
**During peak times, rooms may not be ready until 3 p.m. You can check in to the retreat, grab a bite to eat, and explore the Village. We will hold your luggage at the Unity Village Hotel and Conference Center until your room is ready.
Checkout: 12 noon. All retreats finish on the final day by 10:15 a.m., except those which end on a Sunday.
On Sunday, the Unity Village Chapel Service is included as part of the retreat and takes place from 10:30–11:30 a.m.
**Lunch on the final day is included for guests who have paid for accommodations with meals and is over at 1 p.m. Commuters may choose to purchase their meal at the Unity Inn or Holy Grounds Bookstore and Café.
Do you provide transportation from the airport?
We recommend the following shuttle services:
KCI Shuttle: 800-243-6383
Quick Silver: 800-888-8294
Serving You, LLC: 816-522-3582
The airport is a 45 to 60minute drive. Allow at least 90 minutes between your flight arrival and the time you want to check in for the retreat. This will give you time to collect your baggage, check in at your Shuttle Provider's kiosk, wait for their transportation to pull up to the curb, load your luggage, and drive to Unity Village.
For your return home, please arrange your shuttle service back to the airport at least three hours before your scheduled flight departure time.
Helpful hint: If you are coming as part of a group, it is sometimes cost-effective to rent a vehicle and share the cost.
What is the difference between a spiritual retreat and a personal retreat? A spiritual retreat is one of our specially designed group retreats that includes wonderful opportunities for mind, body, and spiritual renewal, as well as ways to explore topics, truths, and new avenues to Spirit. It includes programs and activities created by our presenters and our SpiritPath Retreat Team.
A Personal Retreat is designed by each individual (with assistance from our reservations team), using Unity Village and all its amenities for private time to relax and journey down a spiritual path.
Other General Questions:
Airport to Fly Into: Kansas City International Airport, MCI
Banquet: Each retreat features a special banquet for all retreat guests. Dress up if you like, but it is not mandatory.
Retreat Calendar: A current listing of SpiritPath Retreats and Special Events can be found online at www.spiritpathonline.org/calendar.
Children: Because our retreat programs are currently planned for adults, no facilities are provided for the care of children. We recommend that retreat participants be at least 16 years old.
Commuter Fee: SpiritPath does not charge a commuter fee, effective May 2007.
Commuter Meals: May be purchased either from the Unity Inn or at the Holy Grounds Bookstore and Café.
Group Special Offer: For those who register a group of 12 for a retreat, a thirteenth person of their choice will receive a free retreat registration, a free motel room, and free meals. (The free room only applies if one is available at Unity Village. All registrations must be made at the same time.)
