This meditation is the monthly Silent Unity prayer
service that is read aloud in our chapel. If you would
like, you can read the prayer service aloud or you can
read it silently to yourself. In sacred, prayer-filled
moments with God, we rediscover who we are, where we
are going, and what we are to do. We allow our hearts
to embrace the fullness of God’s love. In these
special times of prayer, we find peace.
Take a few moments
now to center yourself in the holy presence of God
within. As you enter a sacred space
of peace and oneness with God, open your mind and heart
to fully experience God’s loving, healing, and
prospering presence.

Today is a new day. We embrace this day by taking
time to relax in the presence of God and let go
of all concerns.
Begin your prayer time by focusing your awareness on God, the
unlimited source of all blessings. Breathe deeply and relax in God’s presence
as you open your mind and heart to God and pray:
Centered
in Your presence, dear God, I let go of every
concern and my soul
awakens to new blessings of Your love and grace. |
Your love and grace, God, are
always with me. I experience these gifts more deeply
in the peaceful moments I spend with You. In these
precious moments of prayer, I feel Your holy presence
within. I know You more fully as a loving presence,
a guiding light, a healing power.
As I center myself in Your loving presence now, I am one with
You, God. You fill me with peace … You restore my soul.
I take a deep breath, relax, and feel Your presence gently
soothing me and comforting me in this quiet time of prayer … |
As I follow
God’s guidance,
the deep desires of my heart are fulfilled.
I am Your beloved, dear God, and You are my guiding light, my source of wisdom.
I turn to You now, ready to receive Your loving direction that fills me with
new ideas, leads me to new opportunities for growth, and opens the way to new
blessings.
I release any doubt or concern to You, God, in the faith that You are guiding
me along the right path. I am calm and confident, certain that You are leading
me to the fulfillment of every good desire of my heart.
Thank You, God, for Your unending love and grace that guide me and inspire me
in all that I do. In this spirit of gratitude, I spend a quiet moment in prayer … |
God’s
grace in me is the gift of life. I am peaceful
and strong.
You, God, are my source of health and strength. I turn to You now and give thanks
for Your gift of life that works in and through me as unlimited healing power.
Your life strengthens my mind and body and restores me to wholeness.
In Your healing presence, dear God, I am free. I experience the joy of knowing
that Your life and power and strength are within me and that I am being healed
in every way.
I relax now in an awareness of Your healing presence, enfolded in Your unending
love and grace as I return to the stillness of prayer … |
I am one with the all-providing
love of God that assures me of abundance.
I give thanks for Your gifts of love and grace, dear God, knowing that they are
working in my life as ideas that lead me to abundance, joy, and peace.
Stilling my thoughts, I think only of You, God, only of Your love and grace enfolding
me, blessing me, providing for me at all times.
I am one with You. You are my source … my strength … my supply. As
I take a moment for silent prayer, I relax in an awareness of You, dear God,
and give thanks for the prosperity that I know is mine … |
As you bring your prayer time
to a close, let your heart be grateful for this
sacred opportunity to become more aware of God’s love
and grace. The deep inner knowing that God is with
you will give you a sense of peace and strength which
you can carry with you into the activities of the
day, assured that your prayers are being answered.
Before you move on to these activities, take a moment
to pray the “Prayer for Protection”:
The
light of God surrounds me;
The love of God enfolds me;
The power of God protects me;
The presence of God watches
over me.
Wherever I am, God is!
