Thank You, God, for my blessings and for the promise of even more good.

Today is a day of expressing my gratitude to God for my blessings. I also give thanks, as Jesus did, for the good that is yet to be: Even before He called, "Lazarus, come out," and saw his friend walk from the tomb, Jesus gave thanks to God. Jesus demonstrated the power of the word when expressed in giving thanks and in calling forth good.

Because the goodness of God is my eternal heritage, every day of life is a cause for celebration. My thoughts and prayers of gratitude honor God and prepare me to receive new blessings.

As I give thanks for and accept my good and the promise of even more, I celebrate a thanksgiving of my soul.
