I am a whole and holy being living in God’s
presence.
In a place of worship, I may be more aware of God’s
presence than at any other time. I am in an atmosphere
that is saturated with prayers that may have been offered
on that day or in all the years past.
Yet when I remind
myself that God is everywhere present and that the
prayers of all people are enfolding the world, I am
aware that I am always in a holy atmosphere.
God’s
spirit pervades my world and the universe. Whether
I am walking down a country road or a city street,
I am in God’s presence. No walls or other
barriers can hold this sacred presence in or keep it
out. Because I know that I am always in the presence
of the Creator, I live my life as the whole and holy
being that I am.
“Then the Lord said to him, ‘Take off the
sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing
is holy ground.’”—Acts 7:33 |
